Lunch today was a black bean burger on a multigrain bagel thin, with mozzarella, tomato, onion, and spring lettuce. And mayonnaise, couldn’t resist.

We are taught that it’s important to be respectful, yet a couple’s decision to not have a family is still openly frowned upon. A woman who doesn’t want children is still considered abnormal, a childless man is thought to be selfish and immature.
It is not the business of anyone but the couple (and potentially their doctors) whether they should decide to have children. That means it’s none of your business, so think before you utter any of these condescending phrases to a childless/childfree person.

Not that I can produce children, but reblogging for my boyfriend’s choice to not have kids either

THIS. THIS. I’m also a fan of the “You’ll believe in a higher power when you have a baby.” No. I believe in biology and reproductive science and having a baby would reinforce that. I also very much believe in the feminists before me that made reproductive choice and freedom common ideas, freeing womyn from the shackles of unwanted motherhood. Unfortunately it seems like most people have gathered “you can choose to wait to have a baby” as the only option, and forget “you can choose to never have a baby.”

RETRAIN YOUR BRAIN: Repeat after me: Be more critical of the media, be less critical of yourself.
Why spend your time nit picking in the mirror? Why not question the track that brought you to this point? WHY ARE YOU SO CRITICAL OF YOUR BODY? There are a number of reasons, but for now, let’s just look at one. Why not question the media/advertising? Use that energy that you use to criticize your reflection, to change the world, not your body.

Things white activists say to Activists of Color

umm how much do I love that someone made this and decided to send it in to me? A LOT

fixedwhilefeminist submitted:

We are People of Color. We didn’t choose to be, but we love our cultures. Because of our skin, we have added struggles. In our safe spaces, we have every right to feel welcomed and not tokenized, harassed or ignored. We ask for you to listen to us when we speak about racism because we are being effected by it daily. This video is a compilation of things actually said to POC involved in activism and social justice.

We want to be heard, listen to us.
